Synopsis
An intense comedy about frustration and the desperate attempt to find happiness, no matter what, or at least as close as possible.
Gloria (Blum) is a stern, bitter widow who dies suddenly. Her three unmarried daughters, Susi (Toscano), Virgi (Siciliani) and Male (Cid) find out that the loss of this dreadful mother does not mean any sort of liberation. It's as if their failures in life, especially with men, are destined by some sort of curse... They are beautiful, young, intelligent women, who can´t find boyfriends. They only have each other. Susi, the oldest, was perhaps the closest to her mother and who feels her orders as inescapable. She works in a toll booth, without professional ambition, and has spent her whole life in love with her first boyfriend who is now married and expecting a child. Virgi, the middle daughter, is the most liberated of the three. She is non-judgemental and men get into her bed as easily as they get out. She has never been in love, but she really wants to find true love. She is talented enough to do whatever she wants, but she doesn't have the vocation or perseverance to carry out any project. She is frank with everyone, especially her sisters, who love and put up with her. Male, the youngest, struggles to be independent with so many women acting as mothers in her life (her mom and her older sisters who inevitably play this role). She is extremely sensitive and strong at the same time. An actress by vocation, she shows up for every casting hoping to land a role, but fails every single time leading to very low self-esteem.
